Whistleblowing is when someone reports misconduct, illegal conduct and/or unethical behaviour of Uniting AgeWell employees or representatives.
All reports are treated with confidentiality.
If you see something of concern, please say something.
What should be reported?
The following activities should be reported, if you have reasonable grounds to believe the improper conduct has occurred:
Conduct or practices which are illegal or breach any law
Breach of Uniting AgeWell’s policies
Corrupt activities, including collusion
Theft, fraud or misappropriation
Significant mismanagement or waste of funds or resources
Abuse of authority
Serious harm to the health and safety of any Uniting AgeWell employee or customer, Uniting AgeWell’s reputation, the public, or the environment
Any action taken against, or harm suffered by an employee as a result of making a report under this policy
This applies to all current and former Uniting AgeWell Board and Committee members, staff members, volunteers, contractors and suppliers, and relatives or dependants of current or former employees.
What whistleblowing is not
The whistleblowing policy and process does not apply to personal work-related grievances. Where a Uniting AgeWell employee has a grievance, the UA Grievance Policy and Procedure will apply. You can find more information on the Grievance Policy and Procedure in PROMPT.
How do I make a report?
To make a report you can raise a concern via letter, email or verbally to the CEO, a member of the Senior Executive Team or a member of the People and Culture team.
Uniting AgeWell has engaged STOPLine as an independent service for reporting.
You can contact STOPLine:

What will happen after I make a report?
The Uniting AgeWell process for responding to a report of misconduct is outlined in the Whistleblower Policy and Procedure. You can access this via PROMPT from the home page of the Intranet. All reports will be treated with confidentiality.
